Senior Portrait Dates

Dear Senior,

Senior portraits will be taken on August 3rd and August 5th at Palmer High School. These portraits will be used for the 2015 – 2016 Yearbook and will be available for purchase from John Trojacek Photography. Each student has a specific date and time for their portrait so please read this information carefully! All portraits will be taken in the PHS cafeteria.

Each senior was mailed a copy of this letter with their specific date and time of portraits on July 9, 2015. Please report on time on your specific day. We have worked around various athletic and band schedules.

There will be a $ 15.00 sitting fee, WHICH MUST BE PAID AT THE TIME THE PHOTOS ARE TAKEN.  This is a sitting fee only.  This is NOT a Pre-payment or down payment to be applied to any purchase. Please note:  You DO NOT place your orders on the day the photos are taken.  Orders are placed after you have had the opportunity to review your photos (on the website)  to determine which pose/poses you like.

Your photos will be viewed on-line at www.johntrojacekphotography.com in approx. 72 hours

Complete instructions on how to access your photos will be provided, along with your order envelope, on the day the photos are taken.  Each student will receive a unique password to be able to view only his/her photos.

All Seniors:  

  1. Schedule hair appointments prior to pictures
  2. All photos will be from the waist up
  3. Come ready to take your picture
  4. All students must be in PISD dress and grooming code!


  1. Photos will be taken in black drape and cap and gown (Provided)
  2. Hands will be in some photos so prepare nails appropriately
  3. Bring jewelry you want to wear 
  4. No high gloss lip colors


  1. Photos will be taken in Tuxedo with cap and gown (Provided)
  2. Wear a light colored t-shirt undershirt
  3. Bring a long sleeve Dress Shirt with a collar and a tie to wear with cap and gown. (Ties will be provided if you do not have one)

New Student Registration

Report to the campus of enrollment
  • Must have the following:
  • Valid Texas Drivers License with current address
  • Birth Certificate
  • Shot Records
  • Social Security Card (for student)
  • Withdraw Form (if available)
  • Two Proofs of Palmer School District Residence with address matching Drivers' License, which can be any of the following:

  • Electric Bill
  • Gas Bill
  • Water
  • Lease or Rental Agreement 


Congratulations to the PHS District Campion Accounting team of Makinsey Nehib, Payton Lipsey, Will Corbett and Colby Harris. They finished 2nd at Regionals and one of the top 5 teams in Texas! Other UIL Regional qualifiers were Karly and Meagan Zelaska in Newswriting. Way to represent guys!

Parent's Note after an Absence

When a student must be absent from school, the student - upon returning to school - must bring a note signed by the parent that describes the reason for the absence. A note signed by the student, even with parent permission, will not be accepted unless the student is 18 or older. Notes written by parents requesting an excused absence will be limited to five total days per semester. If the total number of days exceeds five, the student must provide a doctor's note to maintain an excused absence or must see the school nurse to decide if the student should stay at school or go home. Please understand, parent phone calls for absences are simply a courtesy. A written note must be provided upon the students return to school.

  • How to RSVP on the website Calendar   
    To RSVP/Register on the Website Calendars go to the webpage that you need to register and on the right hand side you will see "View Calendar."  Click on the "View Calendar" link which will take you to the Calendar.  In the upper right hand corner will be the date.  If it is the wrong month, click on the up or down arrows to get to the correct month.  Once you get to the correct month, click on the date that you would like to register for.  Scroll to the bottom and you will see a button that says "register."  Click on that.  Click "register now."  Once that window closes you will see that the ribbon has changed from "Not registered" to "I'm Registered"
