The Belles represented Palmer well today at the Mid-Cities Dance Showcase earning a Division 1 Sweepstakes, 2nd overall in Classic Division, 3 judges awards, recognized for precision and choreography, and 1st runner up for Academic Champions. On Thursday, 16 Palmer FFA/ Jr. FFA students participated in the East Texas State Fair Academic Rodeo Ag Product ID competition in Tyler.

Ag mech classes also cut lots of wall studs. They learned how to make headers and mark out the top and bottom plate of a wall frame. We ended the day by raising the first wall. Thanks to our partners at Elmwood Homes for spending the day with our students giving them this opportunity.
Palmer High School Ag Mechanics classes began the tiny home project today. The project started by having to make a couple of modifications to the trailer to accommodate bathroom fixtures. Students started out by leveling the trailer followed by learning how to measure cut and install subfloor.

The PHS cheerleaders proudly represented Palmer for the first time at the UIL State Spirit Championship this week, competing against 50 teams. While we didn’t place, the growth and progress these girls made in such a short time is truly remarkable. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and accomplishments. 🐾📣
It is show day today in Fort Worth for some of our Palmer FFA Ag Mechanics Exhibitors. These students have worked extremely hard to build some quality projects. Wish them luck as they compete today.
Hard work pays off. Both of our ag mech projects earned blue ribbons. These students did an outstanding job not only building these projects but presenting them as well.

Palmer High School ag mechanics classes kicked off an exciting project today. Owners of Elwood Homes Mark Segler and Ed Merkel came to visit with some of our classes today to kickoff our joint tiny home building project. Our students will have the opportunity to learn from industry professionals skills and trades that go into building a home. They are going to learn framing, electrical, plumbing, lighting, painting, estimating, print reading and more. Elwood homes has partnered with us by funding, mentoring and guiding the build of a tiny home in the interest of training and raising up the next generation of residential construction minds!! At the end of the semester, they will auction off the home in the interest of funding next year's program. We cannot thank Mark Segler and Ed Merkel along with all of the others that will volunteer their time to come in and give our students this awesome learning opportunity.
