📣Varsity Cheerleaders of the Week!📣

Congrats to Belle of the week, Summer Bragg! ❤️ #palmerbelles

Please help us congratulate Katilyn Jennings on being awarded the Texas Farm Bureau Ag Student of the Month for September presented by Austin Arms. Katilyn is a senior this year and participates in many different areas of our program including LDE and CDE teams, Ag Mechanics show team and livestock show team raising market swine. Katilyn was recently accepted and plans to attend Tarleton State University after she graduates. Great job Katilyn and keep up the good work.

A few weeks ago our advanced ag mech classes took on a project of repainting a 30 year old livestock trailer for one of our community members. Here are some before and after pictures. They did a great job and the finished product looked great including some freehand pin-striping and bringing the manufacturers logos back to life. We have some very talented students in our program.

Ag mech students have been busy working on some projects over the past couple of weeks. Custom fire pits, fire place grate, new welding tables, rocket stove and various other projects. We even put a smoker that we built to the test to see how the modifications that we made worked by doing a biscuit test. Best part of building cooking equipment in welding class is that you have to try them out to see if they work.

This past week ag mechanics and metal tech students were introduced to a new skill. They learned how to operate the oxy fuel cutting torch. Students learned the equipment that makes up the oxy fuel cutting system. They discussed uses for an oxy fuel setup including cutting, heating and welding. They went over safe operating procedures and learned how to set working pressures, light and adjust to a neutral temperature environment cutting flame and practiced cutting.

Bulldogs get the win 35-25 to improve to (8-2)(6-0). Bulldogs will have next week off before beginning their playoff run in two weeks.
