Palmer FFA members have been busy doing many different things over the last several weeks. Mark Borden participated in in the Blackland District Convention FFA Talent Competition where he placed First and advanced to Area. Today he competed at area and placed Third. He did a tremendous job representing Palmer FFA and Palmer High School. At todays Area VIII FFA Convention Tori Dillon and Emerson Robinson submitted Lonestar Degree Applications. Tori and Emerson's Applications were approved and are moving on to the State Level. Congratulations to these FFA Members on their hard work.
The Palmer FFA Bulldog BBQ Team finished up their competition year competing at State Championships in Roundrock this past weekend. They did a great once again. They placed 16th in chicken and 17th in ribs out of 92 teams. These were all seniors and we would like to congratulate them on a successful year of High School BBQ. Their shoes will be hard to fill but we recruiting students to form a new team to compete next year. It is an awesome opportunity to learn teamwork, earn scholarships and learn how to BBQ.

Mrs. Kemp's advanced culinary and FCCLA students catered lunch for our PHS staff today for teacher appreciation week! Everything was made from scratch and they did an incredible job!

PHS Hope squad members are helping students spread the love to our teachers and staff by writing notes of appreciation as we get ready for teacher appreciation week next week! 🍎❤️ if you missed out and would still like to write a note of appreciation to your teachers, stop by Mrs. Kemps room next week for a heart!
Today was our recognition meeting for Palmer FCCLA. We had 15 seniors (a few not pictured) recognized for completing their community service hours. Over the last 4 years, this years group of seniors have completed more than 2000 hours for Palmer FCCLA!!
We also recognized our members that took part in breakfast buddies this year. These students went to the elementary before school every Monday and Friday morning to meet with students and be a positive mentor to get their days started out right. This was a big commitment and we are so proud of their dedication to FCCLA.
The PHS Class of 2023 Baccalaureate was a big success. Thank you Dr. And Mrs. Leach for planning and organizing and Mr. Williamson for delivering a great message!
