Free & Reduced Meal Applications Now Open for 2026–2027

We want to remind all families that the Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application for the 2026–2027 school year is now open.

Students who qualified in 2025–2026 must submit a new application to continue receiving free or reduced-price meals this year.

Completing the Free & Reduced Meal Application not only helps with meal benefits—it can also qualify students for additional school-related discounts, such as:

-College application fee waivers

-College entrance test fee waivers (SAT/ACT)

To apply online, please visit www.palmer-isd.org/page/child-nutrition or stop by the front office of any campus and ask for a meal benefits application.

Students interested in being a part of our Palmer Jr. FFA Ag Mechanics Showteam. Please use the QR code in the flyer to sign up. This program is designed to give our Jr. FFA members an opportunity to plan, design and build a project to show at ag mechanics project shows.

Kona Ice will be at the MS on Wednesday afternoon! Refillable cups are available to purchase for $6 and can be used all year.

Students enrolled in an ag class in 8th grade. You have the opportunity to be a part of our ag mechanics program where students build projects to exhibit at project shows. Please see the flyer and use the QR code to sign up. There will be more information discussed in classes as we kickoff the school year.

MS Volleyball tryouts will be here soon! Read the graphic for tryout dates and times. Any 7th/8th grader trying out must have their physical completed and uploaded to Rank One.

MS drop off/pickup instructions

5th/6th grade students are dropped off behind the GOLD building (playground). 7th/8th grade students are dropped off at the pavilion. Doors open at 7am.

All students are picked up at the pavilion using the four-lane pick-up system beginning at 4:03pm. For student safety, please remain in the pick-up lanes. Do not park and have students walk to your vehicle.

Welcome to Palmer Middle School, Riley Barton!

Hi my name is Riley Barton! I’m so excited to be joining the Palmer Middle School family! I’m currently attending Navarro College to become a teacher, and I love working with and supporting students as they learn and grow. Outside of school, I’m recently engaged and enjoying this exciting new chapter of my life. I can’t wait to meet everyone and be a part of such a wonderful school community!
