Middle School -

Our staff members for the month of March are Shanda Barnes and Jasmine Sherrill. Mrs. Barnes is our secretary and wears all the hats in our school. She keeps it running. Mrs. Sherrill helps our 5th graders understand and love math.

Congratulations to our students of the month! Jax, Macie, Ricardo, and Sadie. Our students do amazing things at the MS and we are so proud of each and every one of them!

REMINDER:
Friday, May 1, 2026 will be a REGULAR school day for staff and students of Palmer ISD.

Due to the school closures because of icy weather conditions at the end of January, Palmer ISD will use Friday, May 1 as a make-up day for school.

Please mark your calendars and plan accordingly!

Learning about running a business is fun when it involves food! 7th Grade Gen Ag/Career Exploration class enjoyed their Food Truck Project!

Current 8th graders, we are having Colorguard tryouts on April 20th. If you would like to be a part of an awesome team in HS pick up a packet in the office! The packet has all the information about next year including the schedule of events!

Thank you to our Palmer MS MOMS for drawing these colorful messages to our students on test day. We appreciate all you do for PJH!

Tomorrow our students take the reading STAAR and get their chance to show why Palmer ISD is the best! Please make sure your student charges their chromebook, dresses in layers, and brings snacks. It is also important that they get lots of rest and eat breakfast in the morning. Reminder that we are closed to visitors tomorrow. They are going to rock the STAAR!

6th graders Skylar Burns and Joseph Aduddell participated in Day in the Ring at the Ellis County Stock Show. The boys earned blue ribbons!

Wednesday was pig day at the expo and we are proud of our students yet again! Palmer FFA/ Jr. FFA students worked well together, as a team, getting pigs prepped and ready for the show ring better than ever before and in the ring, it showed! 4 Palmer FFA Students made sale with their projects! Our Palmer FFA and Jr. FFA members are still trucking at the Ellis County Youth Expo! Yesterday was another busy day with the broiler and goat show! 4 Palmer students competed in the goat show and all did well getting their animals set and shown for the judge. Although only 1 student stuck a sale spot, all 4 did amazingly well, especially since it was 3 out of 4 of their first county showing goats! Congrats to Reese Wright on placing 3rd and getting a sale spot! Goat exhibitors include: Rosa Castillo Laney McCarty Lucy McCarty Reese Wright
